Request full or partial days
Employees choose the leave type, dates and, when needed, partial-day times. An optional note gives the reviewer context without a separate message thread.
Give employees one place to request leave and follow the decision. Review time off with the schedule in view, so approved absences can inform the next shift plan.

Employee time off tracking works better when everyone can see the next step. Calendza separates employee requests from the owner or authorized manager’s review.

Owners and authorized managers review requests within their permitted scope, approve or reject them and can include a decision note. Owners can also record leave for an employee.
Employees can see their requests and whether they are pending, approved or rejected. Pending requests can be cancelled when plans change.
Approved time off is visible in the planning workflow. Leave-conflict checks help reviewers spot shifts that overlap approved absences.
How it works
Choose dates, leave type and any partial-day times in My Time Off, then submit the request.
Review the request alongside team scheduling needs, then record an approval or rejection.
The employee sees the decision. Approved leave becomes part of the context for scheduling and conflict checks.
Review the requested dates before filling shifts, then use approved time off to avoid assigning work during that absence.
Record the relevant hours instead of assuming the whole day is unavailable. Keep the request and its decision in the same history.
Practical details about time off tracking in Calendza.
Yes. My Time Off shows request history and decision status. Employees can also cancel requests that are still pending.
Business owners and authorized managers can review requests within their workspace permissions and location scope. Employee requests do not bypass those review permissions.
Calendza shows remaining full-day vacation calendar allowance when an annual allowance has been configured. Pending requests are not deducted. If approved partial-day vacation affects the calculation, the balance is flagged for review instead of presenting an accrual estimate.
Approval does not automatically reassign a shift. Calendza’s planning checks identify overlaps with approved leave so an authorized scheduler can review the conflict and arrange cover.
